The British Council Chiang Mai is recruiting for a Full-time Instructor (Teacher) to teach English in our partner school (Regina Coeli School) in Chiang Mai starting 1 May 2017.

British Council Thailand has a successful track record of delivering quality English language teaching in Thai schools and to Thai young Learners, including important contracts with leading state schools. Increased demand for English language skills ahead of Thailandís integration with the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015 & from new directives from the Thai Ministry of Education, has led to more demand in this area. Currently British Council operates in 4 schools, 3 in Bangkok and 1 in Chiang Mai.

Regina Coeli school has a kindergarten, primary school and high school. The British Council programme currently delivers language tuition to all students in the kindergarten and primary sections of the school twice a week, who are typically around A2 level. The team consists of a senior teacher and 4 full-time teachers, as well as a team of support staff. Occasionally hourly-paid teachers teach classes there too.

To be considered, you will be qualified with either a Cambridge CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL and have at least 2 years post qualification teaching experience. Previous experience teaching Young Learners is essential. Diploma qualified candidates i.e. Cambridge DELTA/Trinity DipTESOL and/or YL Extension to the CELTA/BCTYLEC certificate holders are preferred.
