Teaching Positions in Singapore & Seoul, Korea

We are recruiting experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Very Young Learner Teachers of English for our exciting new centre in the heart of Katong (East of Singapore). In addition, we are recruiting a Senior Teacher to lead on the offering of adult courses in Seoul, South Korea. These posts have start dates ranging November to December 2014.

• Senior Teacher Adults (Seoul, South Korea)

The British Council Korea is recruiting a full-time Senior Teacher Adults with a planned start date on 4 November 2014. This post represents an exciting opportunity for professional development as the British Council moves towards increased specialisation.

This opportunity will appeal to experienced ELT professionals, who possess a keen grasp of teaching and methodology as well as a clear understanding of current directions in the market. The successful candidate will also show the ability to motivate and lead a team, as well as an understanding of what customers’ value in order to deliver quality services that provide greater customer satisfaction.

To obtain a Korean working visa, you should be an English native speaker with a degree from an English-speaking country. Your original degree transcripts are essential for visa purposes. You should also hold a TEFL-Q qualification (i.e. Cambridge DELTA/Trinity DipTESOL), and have a minimum of 4 years post-certificate teaching experience with a wide range of levels and course types. In addition, you should have at least 2 years of experience in a position of responsibility e.g. coordinator, senior teacher.

• Very Young Learner Teachers of English (Singapore)

We are recruiting experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Very Young Learner Teachers of English for our exciting new centre in the heart of Katong (East of Singapore). This centre will follow a unique and innovative approach to engaging early learners with well-loved characters that ensure a fun and interactive approach to learning English.

To be considered you should:
• have an undergraduate degree and be suitably qualified (i.e. PGCE/B.Ed in Primary/Diploma Pre-School Teaching/Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education)
• have at least two years post-qualification relevant teaching experience gained from teaching age learners of the age groups 2- 6 years of age
• have a high proficiency in English
• be committed to undertaking further professional training
