British Council Thailand delivers quality English language teaching through a range of Primary and Secondary courses in Thai state schools and there are a number of roles available for Senior Instructors (Senior Teachers) and Instructors of English. In addition, we are recruiting a Branch Manager to lead and manage the newest teaching centre in Hanoi. These posts have start dates ranging from late July to early August 2014.
Teachers of English (Singapore)
Starting in late July 2014, you will join a highly professional team of teachers delivering English language, teacher training and professional development courses to Singaporeans and students of other nationalities. Your principle duties are to facilitate the effective learning of English both inside and outside the classroom, in order to enable students and customers to communicate more effectively in the language and to increase their understanding of contemporary UK.
To be considered you should have an undergraduate degree and be TEFL-Q qualified i.e. Cambridge DELTA or Trinity DipTESOL, and have at least 2 years post-certificate relevant teaching experience gained through from a variety of age groups and levels.
- Branch Manager – Hanoi, Vietnam
As Branch Manager, you will develop and manage British Council Hanoi’s newest teaching centre that focuses on courses for Young Learners and is located in the progressively modern area of Western Hanoi. In addition to ensuring that quality courses are provided, you will build key relationships with our partners / landlords at the host school, ensuring that classrooms and facilities are maintained to expectations.
To be considered, you will hold an undergraduate degree, be TEFL-Q qualified (i.e. Cambridge DELTA, Trinity DipTESOL or PGCE in a relevant subject).

Senior Instructor YL Schools Contracts – Bangkok, Thailand
We are recruiting a Senior Instructor (Senior Teacher) to manage the English programme in one of our partner schools in Bangkok and lead a team of 15 including instructors and coordinators. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Teacher or Coordinator with YL expertise to further develop their skills in project, academic and stakeholder management.
To be considered, you will hold a Cambridge DELTA, Trinity DipTESOL or PGCE in Primary or a relevant subject and have at least 5 years’ experience teaching Primary and Secondary Young Learners.

Instructor of English (Partner School) – Bangkok, Thailand
We are recruiting Instructors of English to work in our partner schools initially for a period of one year. You will be based in either centrally-located Satit Chula (walking distance from Siam BTS and Sam Yan MRT) or in Satit Pattana (pleasant suburban setting with very low-cost accommodation). These posts have Saturday/Sunday weekend patterns and are ideally suited for instructors with a family. In addition, teachers enjoy free daily lunches and access to amenities such as swimming pools and gyms.
To be considered for this role you need to have at least two years of teaching experience post-certificate i.e. Cambridge CELTA/Trinity CertTESOL, hold an undergraduate degree and also have experience of teaching at either Primary or Secondary level.
