British Council is recruiting for experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join their professional teams in Burma, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia in the roles below:

- Teachers of English (Burma, Thailand and Vietnam)

As a member of the teaching team, you will deliver high quality lessons on our full range of courses and will be looking to develop your experience in all areas with highly motivated groups of students. These positions would be especially suited to those wishing to work in a dynamic team environment and who are looking to develop professionally. As we are committed to continuing professional development, there are opportunities for teachers to participate in INSETT sessions and other ELT projects.

- Professional Development Unit Manager (Malaysia)

As part of the PDU team, you will market, develop, and maintain high quality delivery of Business English and professional development courses for corporate clients in Penang. You will also be expected to handle both the business and academic aspects of the corporate training business.

It is a growing unit and the challenge is to develop and implement strategies to tackle increasing competition by understanding customer needs and consistently delivering high quality courses.

These posts are contracted for a minimum of two years. The start dates for these posts will be:

• Burma: April 2013 (closing date: 8 March)
• Thailand (Bangkok): April and May 2013 (ongoing recruitment)
• Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City): May 2013 (closing date: 24 March)
• Malaysia (Penang): May 2013 (closing date: 24 March)

We offer a competitive package including flights from the UK to post (or equivalent), baggage allowance, settling-in allowance and medical insurance. Salaries differ depending on the country and on your qualifications.
