Job Description:
We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated to teach at Komar University of Science and Technology in Kurdistan, Northern Iraq. Those who are interested in a rewarding overseas experience and enhancing their teaching skills should apply for this unique opportunity. Instructors are needed for all levels and skills of Academic English. Applicants with IELTS Exam Preparation experience are strongly encouraged to apply!

Job Responsibilities:

•Teach EFL classes Sunday to Thursday according to Language Center curriculum.
•Work from 8 am to 5 pm daily (40 hours a week) with 20 hours teaching time.
•Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
•Test, evaluate, and counsel students regarding their academic performance and goals.
•Maintain accurate record keeping for daily attendance and student performance.
•Participate in staff meetings and in-service workshops.

Position Requirements:

•Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field + an internationally recognised TEFL qualification (i.e. Cambridge CELTA/DELTA or Trinity CertTESOL/Dip TESOL, or other 120 hour program).
•Native English speaker
•At least one year full-time post-qualification relevant EFL teaching experience
•Superior skills in creating a dynamic interactive classroom experience.
•High energy level and willingness to work with students of all levels.
•Appreciation for and enjoyment of living in a different culture.
