British (or Commonwealth) Native Speakers with Cambridge CELTA Certificate Needed in Guayaquil, Ecuador

British (or Commonwealth) native speakers with Cambridge CELTA certificate and ideally some classroom experience required to teach all ages and levels at small friendly language school in Ecuador.

We are an authorised Cambridge ESOL Examination Centre as well as a British Council registration and testing centre for the IELTS.

The maximum class size is 10 students and teachers report that students are delightful. There is a well resourced large teacherīs room and clean well equipped classrooms.

We offer professional development sessions on a monthly basis and even though we are a small centre (usually no more than 12 teachers at a time) teachers can expect to recieve support from the DOS and senior teacher as well as a structured performance management cycle.

Those teachers that agree to stay for a full calendar year are offered a contract that includes a cultural exchange visa, a bank account, free private medical insurance, four weeks paid leave per year (in addition to public holidays)and a guaranteed salary of $800 per month. In return we expect teachers to uphold professional standards and deliver up to 20 hours teaching a week.

The basic cost of living is still relatively low in Ecuador. The minimum wage is $318 therefore teachers are able to save money easily.

We will prioritise enquiries from teachers who are immediately available and can get here quickly although we will also consider teachers who are looking for later appointments.
