Let's English, based in the beautiful prefecture of Gifu in central Japan, is looking for a married native English-speaking couple for one full-time position and one part-time position.

Location: Takayama City, Gifu prefecture;
Contract: One year (renewable), starting April 1st 2010. Full training provided;
Salary: 238,000 yen per month for full-timer, 2,600 yen per hour for part-timer

Hours: 24-28 hours per week for full-timer, 15-20 hours for part-timer;

Apartment: Fully furnished apartment provided (rent subsidized and discussed in interview). There are no insidious upfront costs with Let’s English. We do not require any key money or deposits and you don’t have to pay any rent until you get your first paycheck.

Holidays: Approximately seven weeks per year;

Insurance: Japanese National Health program.
Visa sponsorship: Provided

Let's English is a private language school that teaches English to all age groups. Therefore, we are looking for a couple who enjoy teaching both children and adults.

A real love for Japan, it's culture, and a passion for teaching are essential. We aren't looking for a couple who are solely interested in making money.
You will get all the help you need from a management team, from the moment we pick you up at the airport.
Although we take our jobs seriously, we also know how to let our hair down and have fun with our students. We encourage our teachers to socialize with them and we regularly hold events such as barbeques and festivals.

The beautiful city of Takayama is perfect for people looking to experience the best of traditional Japanese culture, scenery and festivals. It is common to see people riding around in rickshaws! Based in the snowy mountains of the Japan Alps, the school is perfect for people who enjoy skiing, snowboarding or hiking.

The successful applicants will be a native English speaking, married couple from either North America, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K, or South Africa. University degrees are a must, and although not essential, some teaching experience or qualification is preferred. An international driving license is needed for both positions.
