TeachingChile is a recruitment and placement company, headquartered and staffed in Santiago, Chile. We provide full-service assistance for qualified applicants to receive an express-mailed job offer from a reputable Chilean school, visa processing arrangements, 3 to 4 weeks pre-paid housing upon arrival, all of which are confirmed before the teacher boards the airplane to teach in Chile.

The schools in our network are not seeking volunteers. All teachers accepted will be paid equivalent salaries as local Chilean teachers.

The following are positions that schools are seeking for the March 2010 and August 2010 time frame:

Position: Teacher of English to Adults (some classes may involve K-12 and University students, but most classes will be with adults only)

• Start Date(s): March 2010 (end of February arrival for orientation)

• Location(s): Santiago and Iquique

• Positions available: 12

• Teaching Term: 10 or 12-month minimum contract (March 2010 through December 2010); longer-term contract offered

• Requirements: university graduate, native speaker of English; TEFL / TESOL certificate required—BUT NOT at time of application, no prior teaching experience required, might involve one or two classes with children and/or with university age students

Position: Teacher of English to Children (Kindergarten through 12th grade)

• Start Date(s) : March 2010 (end of February 2010 arrival date for in-country orientation)

• Locations: Santiago and areas surrounding Santiago by, 1.5 hours

• Positions available: 11 positions filled, accepting backup applications

• Teaching Term: one or two semester commitment (two semesters preferred)

• Requirements: university graduate, native speaker of English; TEFL / TESOL certificate required—BUT NOT at time of application, no prior teaching experience required

Position: Teacher of English to University students

Start Date(s): March 2010 (end of February arrival for orientation)

Location: Multiple locations in Chile, most are in Santiago, 6 in Concepción, and 1 in Melipilla

Positions available: 50 positions filled, accepting up to 5 backup applications

Teaching Term: one or two semester commitment (two semesters preferred)

Requirements: university graduate, native speaker of English; TEFL / TESOL required upon arrival, BUT NOT at time of application; no prior teaching experience required; 3.2 GPA required
