Job Announcement: Center Director Position in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, USA

LOCATION: RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA

FLS International invites applications for our center in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on the campus of Marymount College.

We seek a skilled manager for our program catering to international students and short-term tours. Candidates with experience in the travel industry and education management are encouraged to apply.

Duties include: Managing the daily administrative and academic operations of a busy English as a Second Language program; training and supervising staff; overseeing operations of group tour programs; coordinating relations with overseas advisors and college officers; participating in marketing efforts and overseas outreach; overseeing the housing program; working in close cooperation with the central administrative office and providing student counseling assistance.

Candidates for the position should possess at least three years of administrative/ supervisory experience. Candidates must be able to perform well in a stressful environment and prioritize and delegate effectively. Experience in fiscal management and personnel management are preferred qualifications. The candidate must possess strong verbal abilities, computer literacy, cross-cultural sensitivity, leadership skills and a customer-service orientation. International work experience is a plus.

Candidates must hold a 4-year degree; graduate degrees are preferred qualifications. Candidates should be available to begin work no later than November, 2009.

FLS International offers a starting salary range of $37,000 - $46,000 DOE, 2 weeks paid vacation, 401K program and an excellent health benefit package.
