B. Ryan (TEFL teacher in Spain)
Whilst recently doing a Summer school in London I decided to bring their recent excursion to London to life.
For those who don't know,in Hyde Park London, there is as area called "Speaker's Corner" where all members of the public are free to speak on any issues which they have strong feelings upon. This involves standing on a box in the corner of Hyde Park(a huge Park in London city) .They can speak on the most serious of issues to the most ludricious!!
In the classroom we placed a chair in the corner where all students were urged to air their grievances. It proved quite fun from serious
racial issues to "my weekly bus pass only cost me £6.00 and I can travel to wherever I want to go!!!"
Encourage all students to listen and to applause those brave enough to "sit on the chair!!"
