Writing Japanese
![]()
I work with ESL students in Quebec (high school level), and they are interested in my Japanese heritage. They often ask me how to say & write words in that language. One day, I gave them what they wanted. I taught them how to write Japanese letters, stroke by stroke. This was a good listening exercise that reviewed left, right, top, bottom, horizontal, vertical, etc. At the end of the descriptions, I told them what the word meant, and how it was pronounced. If you speak/read another language, this is a great activity for the students.
