Those short answers only have three words. The tambourine is a perfect prompt to drive the point home. If you don't have the instrument in question, bang the board rubber on the board, clap your hands, in true Sting style sing "DO DO DO! Dah dah dah!" (albeit at your peril!?!) But this does work, the students put their brains into gear, before opening their mouths.
