Conversation on Paper
Objective: To improve student's writing skills without correcting mistakes
Procedure: Take out some lined paper and write a question or a short note to the student, who writes a response to you. Do not correct the student's mistakes. Simply write back to the student correctly using words, verb tenses, etc. that they have misspelled or misused. The student writes back again and will hopefully use your writing as a model. Continue writing back and forth until you have had a whole "conversation".
*While reading student's replies, make a mental note of mistakes and decide what aspects of grammar or spelling you should teach them in future lessons.
