Paul's Amazing Tense Cube
Make a cube out of cardboard -- acouple of inches wide. On each face write +. -, (for positive and negative sentences, who, what, why and when. Make a pack of card with riiegular and regular verbs. Divide the class into two team. Each player selects a card (for example 'write'. If you are teaching the past simple, throw the cube and see which face is up when it lands. Perhaps 'who'. The student then makes a sentence. Who wrote the letter? If you are teaching the future it could be 'Who is going to write the letter?' or the present perfect 'Who has written the letter?'It's a very competitive game and they all enjoy it.
