I was subbing at the last minute for a conversation class at a university in Seoul, and the students were just not coming together. SO, I 'winged' it, and came up with a pretty nifty idea: Movie Charades.
Break the students into small groups [2-4] and have them come up with some dialogue and actions that *could appear in a well-known movie* -- stress to them that it doesn't have to be, shouldn't be actually, a real scene from the movie, just one that fits the characters, scene, etc. The other teams get points for guessing the movie, or the team gets points if no one guesses -- either way, they have to be tricky, imaginative, and students love it!
