I teach at a boys Middle School here in Pusan. A good game is word-in-a-word competition. For example: Choose a word - TEACHER, for example - which many words can be constructed from. 48 students are divided into 8 groups. Each group tries to make as many new words as possible. After 30 minutes I check each list. The group with the most new words share a small pot of money. I usually move from group to group giving each a new identical word - one they probably don't know. My students find this game stimulating and are usually in a high competitive spirit. I hope you can use this in your classroom. Please E-mail with comments and suggestions.
