Telling a Funny Story
Having difficulty conveying the humor in American stories and poems, I had a class of advanced Chinese students pair up and one told the other a funny poem or story from their childhood memory (in Chinese). The other person then had to tel l the story to the class in English. This was a fun time, sometimes quite difficult. I have to admit, in many cases I couldn't recognize the humor, but the students loved it. Name: Mildred Rash
