I use this with my 7-12th grade classes. Beginners through advanced.
My idea is similar to Sara Ross's. Near the end of a unit on America and yes/no questions, my students and I play a game where each student gets the name of a famous American taped on their back. They then move around the classroom asking each other yes/no questions about who they are. They can only ask each person one time and they must be only yes/no questions. To make it a little competative, there can be prizes. Sometimes, we make it a party atmosphere with typical "American" foods. We have also tried this with famous people from their native countries and food from there.
