Oral Fluency Through Confidence and Practice
Over the 10 years I was a travelling (within one district) ESL teacher, I found one reading technique very productive. It is best in small groups; and even better one or two to one. The open text faces the student, so that the teacher learns to read upside down. Track as the student reads aloud; and when an error occurs, correct it for the student and keep reading.
