Community crunch
![]()
My advanced ESOL class needed to work on the topic, "making a difference". We looked up the local Volunteer Bureau's website, and each student chose an activity they thought would suit them. They then had to explain why they had chosen this job, and write a job application letter describing their qualifications. This had the added value of contributing to Citizenship work, and provided them with the opportunity of bonding with each other, as they discussed their individual strengths.
