Musical Chairs is a great warm-up activity, but provides nothing educational. In this game, instead of having music, keep saying words based on the theme of the lesson, then say a word not related to the theme. For example, a lesson based on food say something like "cheese, lettuce, strawberries, carrots, bananas, eggs, rain" and the students should find a chair when rain is said. Students will occasionally find a chair even when a food name is called, so point to the food in the textbook or a flashcard to remind them of what it is.
