Nonstop Shop Til You Drop
This game is a twist on a game I learned in my Phonology and Articulation disorders class in college. It was one of my fellow students's therapy ideas for children with speech disorders, but I find it pretty cool for EFL students also.
You fill a large box or bowl with beans (or rice, but I found beans to be less messy) and hide little toys inside the beans. For my version, I teach the students how to find items in a grocery store, so I give my students a grocery list and I hide toy versions of each item in the beans. I put a number on each item and once the student finds the item, he or she must write the number beside the corresponding item on the list. The first to get all of the items on their list wins! You can either do individual boxes or you can do larger boxes for a few children to share. They really have fun with it!
