Imagine

I have just used Iamgine by John Lennon very successfully with a Grade 6 class in South Korea. I played the track first and then introduced John Lennon to them, eg, the Beatles, his death. Talked about a perfect world and pre taught 'imagine' 'possessions' 'religion' 'peace' 'heaven' and brotherhood' Then I played it again asking them to listen for these words. I had prepared the cut up lyrics lines and then had the students listen and put them in prder. Most teams got it in 2 listenings, but I needed three. Then I handed out the lyrics with words missing. This all took about 30 mins, the children really enjoyed it.
