If you read what's submitted in "Can you come to my party?", you may add this additionnal bit of flavour in it for a last sprint and good fun...
Make the recipe as described in "Can you come...". The students must also find who can help them organize their party. For e.g, they may want someone to decorate the room with paper flowers, someone who can make cookies and chocolate cakes, someone who can bring CDs ...etc.
So, before running all around the room, they must choose five tasks they're going to ask their friends to do. The winner is the one who has as many people as possible coming to the party as well as five people who are able to do the tasks.
I then ask the winner to tell the whole class who is going to do what.
Yes, it's a mess in class... but ain't it in a kitchen when cooking?
