Kings and Queens
Good for practising present continuous.
This is good for younger groups, ages 5-11. Teach the grammar. Brainstorm verbs. (You may want to leave the list on the board.) Give the kids sheets of paper with a crown shape to colour and cut out. The crown shape should have a line in the center front. Dictate the colours, and hand out scissors. Get the kids to write a word on the line, without showing anyone. Tape the paper so it becomes a simple crown. Hand them out randomly. The Q to ask is "AM I verb-ing?". The kids find words like snoring very amusing. Crowns can be recycled.
