Scattergories for the Business World
I borrowed the idea of Scattergories from your site for my first day in the "business world" of E.S.L. I had a tough crowd: CEO's from a famous computer company who saw no need to fool around and "play". They grumbled through one game that I had devised where you could randomly use any food, animal, verb, advective, or adverb. When time was up I counted the points and gave out Monopoly money. Then I gave them a second sheet of the same categories but limited the lists to a letter of the alphabet (D). Their lists were incomplete and full of errors. I used this as an example of how the limits on creativity and freedom of choice can inhibit productivity and progress in a company. They were putty in my hand for the 3-day seminar!
