If you have Scrabble or just a bunch of letters of any kind (paper, plastic, etc) you can play this game!!
First explain to your students what a TITLE and a PLOT are (specially students of EFL).
Then just make two or three teams.
Tell them you are going to draw two letters from the bag or box which are going to be INITIALS for a movie title they're going to make up (they shouldn't be actual movie titles though). They can use the letters in ANY order (e.g. "E" and "T" could be also used as "T" and "E" and come up with titles like "ELECTRICAL TEMPER" or "TIME of EXECUTION".
Right after they create the title they will discuss about the plot of the new movie... EVERYONE MUST GIVE THEIR IDEAS!!!
Once a team is done, they all MUST raise their hands and the rest of the teams MUST STOP.
Teacher selects one member of the team to present both title and plot to the rest of the class... if it makes sense they'll earn a point, otherwise another team gets the chance.
NOTE: IF THE MEMBER THAT THE TEACHER SELECTS DOESN'T KNOW THE TITLE OR THE PLOT, THE OTHER TEAMS GET THE CHANCE TO PRESENT.
You continue the game with a different set of letters of course.
You can start increasing the difficulty of the game by drawing three letters instead of two. My students have done it with even 4 letters...... HAVE FUN!!!!
