Sh sh sh
This teacher finds noise in the Tesol Classroom often tooooo much, so what to do, I was certainly not going to shout them down, after all I have my face and voice to care for. so I tripped ove the idea just to write
Sh Sh Sh in descending size on the board, I now don't have to say be quite the students see this and beging to tell the rest of them to be quite, it may not be original but it works well for me and my students.
