Hot Eraser (like hot potato)
![]()
I teach pronounciation class for 50 junior high students. I need to hear them talk, but their classmates are rarely quiet enough for me to hear anything. This game has made them excited to answer questions. Take an eraser (my kids like that it kind of makes a mess) or a small object. Give the eraser to one student and (teacher) turn around. Ask the students to pass it around the room(I don't let them throw it). Wait a few seconds then (teacher) yell "STOP!" Whoever has the eraser must answer a question. You can use this with ANYTHING. This can be the way to ask questions about a story, go through a worksheet, or an emergency game when a lesson bombs. My kids really like it because they can "get" their friends.
Hope it works!
