Twenty Questions
A very simple suggestion -- the game Twenty Questions works well for private tutoring. The student and I take turns writing down the name of a person (current or historical), place, object, action, etc. The other person then must ask yes/no questions to determine the name. The activity builds listening comprehension, question formation, and logic. Thomas Gault, Ph.D.
