Have your students pick a non-living item...like a clock,a pair of scissors,even a chair!Then,have them write from the item's point of view...what the item's thinking.Allow them 10 minutes to write,then 5 minutes to proofread.It's a great way to clear up writer's block,and a great creative writing exercise!
