More fun with postcards
Just to add to the earlier posting about postcards, when teaching in China I used postcards in lots of different ways. They are great tools.
I gave small groups a postcard each and they had to describe what they saw and introduce it to the class as if they had been there themselves.
I asked them to write a card to their family.
We discussed the places in the cards and talked about the pros and cons of living there, ie. Paris is a romantic city but it is expensive and I don't speak French.
I gave them cards sent from home and they read them and replied to the sender.
We then got onto dream holidays which they loved doing!
The possibilities are endless.
