THIS IS MY FAMILY
Sometimes it is diffucult to find real and authentic situations where the use of a Foreign Language seems to be natural.
With this exercise students will be able to speak about real life, using authentic materials, despite their level as it is suitable for elementary courses too. After being introduced the main vocabulary items, i.e. family members, students are asked to bring photos of their family to the classroom. In small groups, they have to introduce their family, giving as much information as they can (names, ages, jobs, etc.)
It is a highly communicative activity and students know more about their mates' personal lives.
The teacher should bring photos too. It triggers students' attention and motivation, believe me.
