Use the Cure's song 'Catch'( on the album 'Kiss me,kiss me,kiss me') when you are teaching the structure 'used to.' The first time the students listen, get them to stand up when they hear USED TO and to sit down again when they next hear it, it's good fun and usually you are left with half standing and half sitting! Use a gap-fill or word grab for the second listening and elicit as much as possible from the students as to what the song is about and how the singer feels.
