Online MA in TESOL!
Three Times Lucky
Remember to use material three times so that students can build creativity and self-confidence! Each step should take them farther toward independence. Teach a demo first(get your more advanced students / positive role models involved, or show good work from previous years), then use your material again in a new context (pairs work well here so they can clarify what you expect of them) then let them shine in a more well-considered project for a mark (an essay! a puppet play! an "advertisement" for something!) I have taught students of all ages in China, Quebec, and English Canada. I had to put my foot down with administration who would rather push students through too much material, but it has been worth it! Michelle
