Pachi Pachi Seven
Simple counting game - works well with students still struggling with English numbers. Have the class stand (preferably in a circle), and count, each student saying one number.
But you can't say seven or a multiple of seven! Instead of 7, 14, 17, 21, 27, 28, etc the student whose turn it is must clap. Students who make a mistake are out and sit down; the counting resets to one.
It's best if the teacher(s) can get a rhythm going so students don't have too much time to think. Set them targets by telling them what number the class next door got to!
"Pachi Pachi" is the Japanese sound for clapping, so feel free to rename the game accordingly.
