Music is huge no matter where you go and teenagers around the world are always looking for a chance to perform their favorite songs. So, why not use this as a way to fix up their pronunciation?!
here it is:
Break the students up into a certain number of groups so that the quiet and loud kids are evenly “distributed” and so that there are 4-5 people in each group. Have each group pick a song they would like to perform acapello. Have each group practice during a month after which they will perform before a panel of judges (other efl teachers would be fun). Tell them they will be judged based on these 4 factors: pronunciation (50%), unity/group effort (30%), presentation (15%), and singing ability (5%).
