Home-made comparative trivia
A good way to help students practice comparatives is to divide the class into teams, hand each team an almanac and ask them to write trivia questions from the almanac. Specify that the questions should use either the superlative, e.g. "what is the highest mountain in the world?" or the comparative, e.g. "true or false: Brazil has a larger population than Indonesia." After the students write the questions, you can have them use the questions on the other team(s). Keep score.
