Online MA in TESOL!
This is a game we used for workshops on many different issues in Canada, but it can also be used for listening comprehension and english conversation practice. Its also a good way to get to know things about your students and for you students to learn things about each other.
Prepare several categories before hand - these can be anything from `Hair colour` to `country of origin` to `what you did last night` - be creative!
Students must then group themselves based on the category you announce - for instance, all students with brown hair are together, all students who watched TV last night are together, etc.
Keep this up for as long as the energy is flowing - its a fairly adaptable game, you can focus on simple things like colours or use the game for grammar by making all of your categories contain a certain grammar point.
