Music & Rhyme

This activity is suitable for all levels of English. I tried it with my beginner and intermediate classes and it really worked. Choose a song, play it and give the lyrics to the students. As they listen to it, they have to identify the vowel sound or diphthong that appears at the end of each line (i.e. the rhyme). You can provide different sounds on the board where the students can select from. It's a good way for them to be aware of the difference between English vowel sounds and the ones of their mother tongue (Spanish, in our case!)
Good luck!
