Family Feud

Home Main Submit Contents Recipes

I bought a Junior Outburst game at a garage sale for $2.00, and it has been a godsend. I play Family Feud with my students using this game. The class is divided into two teams. I read the category (they're very general in the
Junior game). The first student who raises their hand, tells me one word in the category. If it is on the list, I give the option to play or pass. The points awarded are equivalent to the numbers on the card (ie #4 is worth 4 points). If the word is not on the list, it is worth a strike. After three strikes, the other team has the opportunity to try and guess a word on the list. If it is there, that team steals the points. If not, the first team keeps the points. This game is great for vocabulary review, and for stretching out class time.
