There are many idioms and expressions that use parts of
the body. The first group contains some special expressions

expression   meaning
eyeball something
  look at something very closely
eye-catching   striking in appearance;
very attractive
an eyeful   something that's surprising,
unexpected, or shocking to see
an eye-opener   something that is surprising
and which also helps one to
understand in a new and
different way

the distance that one can see

(common phrases: in eyeshot,
beyond eyeshot, out of eyeshot,
within eyeshot)

an eyesore   something that is ugly and
unpleasing to look at
an eye-witness   someone who saw an event
as it happened (often used
for witnesses to crimes)
