In Response To: Job Opportunities for Indian TEFL teachers (Aditi Banerjee)

Seems like you are straddling the fence. On one side you have superior academic qualifications in business, i.e. Marketing, and on the other side you have love for teaching EFL and traveling. Why not combine the two if you feel that may be a solution to your indecision.

However, to be successful you absolutely need some form of academic training in teaching English as a second/foreign language. You can do the research to find a reputable EFL certificate/degree that suits your needs. No need to sell yourself short. Just because you are from India - an English speaking country - does not necessarily mean EFL employers will write you off as incapable of teaching English as a foreign language. There are EFL employers in this world who like prospective language teachers to be able to combine their qualifications such as yours - business and teaching.
