Inexpensive certificate

I just returned to Canada from a year of teaching in China.
And I loved it. My employer said they would help getting my TESL And I would get lessons in Chinese...neither of which happened. So, I'm back in Canada.. and poor because, well, Canada.
I have a year plus worth of teaching experience and years worth of regular teaching.
So how do I inexpensively get the piece of paper that says I can do thing I already know how to do?
