It depends what you want to teach (English Literature, or EFL/ESL?), to who (secondary students, university, or language school) and in which countries.
All need different qualifications, in teaching, in TEFL/TESOL, in Linguistics, or a PhD, depending which role you are interested in.

Oddly, Anglophone countries will often look at your own language level and qualifications, while other countries will care more about your passport.
