Certification programs

Greetings!
I'm a native English speaker with a MA in Spanish. I've taught English at the university level in Mexico, but the bulk of my teaching has been middle school through university Spanish. I'm currently at an international school teaching Spanish in Korea, but I'd like to work in Istanbul. My question is: do I need to get TEFL/TESOL certification or will a MA in a foreign language as well as a US teaching license suffice for most jobs? I'd rather not spend the money if I don't need to, but will if it is necessary to secure a better paying job. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
