In Response To: Good textbook for private lessons (Mazatron3000)

I'm about to start teaching one on one lessons to an advanced level adult student. I'm a recent CELTA graduate and I don't have much experience of adult learners. I plan on buying a coursebook to adapt lessons from. I was thinking of Cutting Edge, Total English or Speakout. Any ideas which might be the best for a lone student-teacher pair working on general pronunciation, conversation and receptive skills?

This is the training forum. You'll get more responses to your question if you post over on the Cafe's jobs general discussion forum. There are quite a few teachers who tutor one-on-one. See the link below. Registration is required.

Be sure to include info about your student's nationality/native language, what his/her language goals and expectations are, and the country you're teaching/tutoring in (or if teaching via the Internet).
