TESL CERTIFICATE

Hi! I am in college and I want to teach abroad in Korea. I'm majoring in Linguistics with a minor in Esl/TESL. I made a rookie mistake and just realized the TESL and TEFL are not the same. I don't want to go spend 1,000s dollars on another certificate. Money is scarce for me. So I was wondering if I really need a TEFL certificate when I have a minor in Esl Teaching.

Side note: My minor also gives me a TESL certificate.
