In Response To: Teaching in Asia without TEFL (Guilherme Lima)

There are a couple of large obstacles to you following your plans here.
The first one is that many schools and in fact many vi-sa issuing authorities have a tendency into prefer native speakers. There are not enough such people available, so it may be possible with good enough English and some form of proof of that, to be able to get a job and a vi-sa issued. Some countries', provinces' or cities' authorities are more relaxed on that and the country-specific forums elsewhere on this web-site may be able to point you in the right direction.
It may be easiest to find these roles if you go there as a tourist and look around and actively ask around to see if people meeting you face to face can employ you in their school and know a friend vi-sa officer.
And alternative is to go to one of these countries as a student on a student vi-sa and find work on the side. Also some some countries may offer working holiday vi-sas to Brazilians as well, though there may be restrictions on not teaching.

The other obstacle is lack of qualifications. Several years ago it was quite possible to teach on purely having a bachelor's degree in whatever subject. But many places are now asking for a tefl qualification and you may find that this enhances your ability to do the job anyway. However, often they don't specify what type of tefl qualifications and there are many you can do on-line or in a weekend.

Then maybe if you look around hard enough, teaching something else like cooking in a high school or University or cooking college for Western dishes in the language of English.
