I'm not sure if this is the right place for it. So I may post in other forums too.
Looking on forums for lesson ideas, teachers often assume that even some difficult kids will have an interest in something that you can tap into. But really these teens don't. The school has no sports teams and only a handful will participate in soccer practice etc. I've tried a variety of lessons but they've all pretty much failed. I've done the same lessons (adapted for level) at other places I work at and they've been a great success. The interests for the majority stretch as far as watching Japanese YouTubers.

So I'd like some advise if possible. Especially for the 3rd years.
The lessons are supposed to be aimed at getting the students to talk in English but this really seems all but impossible.
